Its official, I am no longer unemployed! The hospital gave the company the green light so now I'm all set to start work in February. Benefits are REALLY good, but the sweetest part of the deal is most definitely my RM65/month Fitness First membership. Whee, I can finally gym to my heart's content! :)
My friend in the UK has also agreed to help me purchase my Speedy (but I'll only get it in July)! At first I decided on the Red, but now I want Ivory because I know I'll get much more use out of an off-white bag than a red one. It looks so much classier too! I did some research and apparently ivory Epi Leather is very easy to maintain, I just have to be careful not to put it on the floor (wth, who puts their designer bags on the floor anyway??!)

The sad thing is they've increased the price by 50 quid (in a matter of days!), and the exchange rate has gone up a bit. Hopefully it'll drop by the time my friend goes to London, which is 2 weeks from now. *fingers crossed*
Now all I wish for is my mum's speedy (geddit?) recovery. She's been in the hospital for the past few days due to some mysterious infection which has been giving her a fever for the past week.

Thou the red one look stunning and eye catching, it really depends on your main purpose for the bag. Whether if it is going to serve as a daily use bag or a occasionally use bag, personally, if it is going to serve as an everyday bag, I will for sure go with ivory without question ask, as you said, it is more classic and won’t go wrong with any of your work outfit, regardless of black, white, pink, green, skirt or shorts- you name it. But of course, if you already have an everyday bag and is just looking for an add on to your bag collections (you know us girls), why not red? :)
heartofpearl: *giggles* Yeah cos black is the new pink! Epi Leather red is one of the prettiest reds around IMO, but I think I might reserve the red for a Koala wallet ;)
plain.jane: According to my research, as long as you give it a wipe with damp cloth the leather will retain its original look for years....
Thank you for your concern :)Yeah we tested her for dengue and it came out negative, and the doctor didn't mention Chikunguya either so we don't think its that.
the4nipplespig: I agree with you, though red is a pretty neutral color I think I will go with the ivory for the Speedy, and probably get a red Epi Leather wallet somewhere down the line ;) A girl can never have enough 'everyday' bags, haha. My current everyday bag is off white too, but I'm looking to replace it before it wears out.

i go for red...i have the red epi leather wallet...i treat it like shit but it still looks brand spankin new...the material is more durable than most...

I've seen the red and white speedy 25s in person. I'd say red is more eye catching. The moment I saw the white, I didn't want it anymore. Somehow, it looked more impressive in pictures than in person. But I agree, it'd be much more versatile! All epi is pretty durable and very very easy to take care of! Just be careful not to bang it around, but I really don't see you doing that anyway... :p
Oh, and I actually put my bags on the floor. LOL.
I agree with Fei. I've seen the white in person and the red actually looks better in person for some reason. And I'm not even a red bag kind of person!! I don't know, it might be because of that style, paired with white just doesn't look as nice?
You know which I'll choose. I'm on a red streak, therefore need I say more? Besides, I don't think you really have a red bag, now do you? Hmm.. anyways, I hope your mum gets well soon. <3

Pink: LOL at every Asian chick must have a white epi speedy!!! I don't mean to be racist against my own race, but most Asian chicks go for the monogram canvas, which IMO is overrated >__<

pretty coincidence, most of my designer bags r in red. Not tat I loved red so much, but I just find red bag is bright n sexy. I hav a fren, she has exactly the Ivory. It's look a bit plain to me, still pretty though. It's her daily use bag, FYI her husband bought this bag to celebrate her pregnancy.Kekeke... If i'm not mistaken, she got it ard SGD1,700.

The alma in epi is 1.7k AUD (think exchange rate of 2.4~2.5), issit cheaper there ar? :D I was very tempted to get an ivory alma over the weekend.
